US fest screening Iran short film

Iranian short film ‘999999999’ has been set to go on screen at the 1st edition of the LA San Rafeal Short Film Festival in the U.S.

Directed by Karim Azimi, the Iranian short film is competing at the international short film event.

‘999999999’ has focused on the theme that people climb up a stone stair from the childhood through the rest of their lives, and nightmares pour on them like a rain.

Azimi’s 10-minute experimental has so far taken part at a number of international film events, including the Roma Cinema Doc 2017 in Italy and the Filmstrip International Film Festival 2017 in Romania.

It has won several international awards, such as the Best Short Film at the Gold Movie Awards 2017 in the UK.

The LA Shorts International Film Festival showcases 280 films from 25 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Uruguay, the UK and the US.

The first edition of the LA San Rafael International Short Film Festival is slated for December 1-8, 2017, in Los Angeles, the US.
